50% of the proceeds from the sale of Kato’s Kollar is donated to the participating rescue organization.
Kato''s Kollar Fundraising Initiative
Kato’s Kollar Fundraising Initiative was created to help non-profit animal rescue organizations raise needed funds and is offered for sale exclusively through these organizations.
How It Works
Please complete and submit to arrange for the application. Once your organization has been approved, your organization will be issued 12 collars. Participants agree to pay 50% up front ($60.00)for the collars and the remaining 50% within 30 days of receipt of the collars. Any organization paying for the full order upfront $120.00, will receive one additional free Kato’s Kollar. Kato’s Kollar sells for $20.00, $10.00 per collar is retained by the organization as a donation and the remaining $10.00 per collar is returned to Kato’s Kollar for payment. The participating organization is responsible to pick up or arrange for delivery. As many organizations include the spay /neuter costs in the adoption fee, it is suggested that they offer a $20.00 upgrade to Kato’s Kollar from the standard issued cone.
About Kato's Kollar
Kato’s Kollar eliminates many issues created by other Pet Medical Collars, such as, obstructed vision, hardship navigating obstacles, difficulty sniffing out that “perfect spot”, hard to get a comfortable sleep, frustration eating and drinking. Kato’s Kollar is the perfect Pet Medical Collar solution for dogs recovering from spay and neuter surgery as well as many posterior injuries. We understand that this can be a very stressful time for both you and your pet. We have engineered Kato’s Kollar for maximum comfort and minimum stress.
How It Began
Our Bulldog Rosco was recovering from surgery. Not being a very brave soul and feeling vulnerable after the surgery, he was frantic when we tried to secure the “Plastic Cone” over his head. Same reaction to the Soft Fabric Cone and it just folded over his face. We could not bare to leave it on him. Next we tried the Inflatable Cone, he backed away in a panic, failed attempt number 3. I believed it was the obstructed vision, that feeing of being in a tunnel, that he struggled with. Being somewhat of an engineer, I realized that we just needed to prevent neck flexion. There was no need for a bulky and cumbersome “cone” of any sort. Rosco is credited for forcing me to look for an alternative Pet Medical Collar and developing Kato’s Kollar when there were none available that fit our needs. Kato, being an easygoing, happy to please boy, became our “Guinea Pig” of sorts so he became the “Namesake”. Rosco gladly stepped aside. Kato’s Kollar was born.
Kato's Kollar comes in a variety of sizes and colors
You can see that our model "Ziggy" doesn't seem to mind his collar at all. He can easily pick up his toys. He hardly knows that the collar is there!
Here we see Ziggy enjoying a restful sleep. The foam is pliable enough that it gives for a comfortable rest, yet sturdy enough to prevent him from reaching the recovering area..
Kato's Kollar Sizing Explained
When sizing the girth of the dog’s neck as well as the length of the neck and strength of the dog all factor in when selecting the proper collar for each particular dog. Secure the collar tightly just below the chin leaving “three finger space” between the neck and the collar. We recommend that you monitor your dog closely for the first hour of wear to be sure that the kollar is properly fitted and the size is correct, protecting the recovering area.
Kato's Kollar Sizes:
Small Soft
Medium Soft
Large Soft
Small
Medium
Large
Ex. The thinner the cut of the foam, the more it gives. Therefor, the word soft in the size indicates it being more pliable. A larger & stronger dog would require a collar with a thicker cut foam. We do this simply for comfort purposes. We want your pet to be as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. We understand that the more comfortable your pet is, the happier everyone is.
Let’s discuss the needs of your organization when deciding which sizes would best suite your needs. We hope that you will find our collars to be a good “fit” for your organization.
